Craft Time - DIY Lipstick Palette!

If you're like me and you're a makeup junkie then you have about a zillion lipsticks that just sit in a drawer, and you never know what color you need or which one it is. Well, I have the solution; a lipstick palette. This tutorial is so super easy you won't even believe it!

You'll need:

A lit candle
A towel
A spoon
A knife
Lipsticks
A palette

First off, you need a palette. You can use a vitamin container, you can purchase a regular lipstick palette, or you can do what I did and by a $1 watercolor paint palette for kids, pop the paint out and use that. Simple and easy.

Step 1 - Lay your towel down because things can get a little messy. Take your knife and cut about 1/4" of lipstick off and place it on your spoon.

Step 2 - Hold the spoon about an inch over the flame of the candle and allow the lipstick to melt (It only takes about 30 seconds.).

Step 4 -Pour melted lipstick into a slot in your palette. Repeat.

That's it! That's all you do! Keep repeating that process until you have filled up your palette! Your can even mix colors together to make your own customized palette! Don't forget to label it, you can use little stickers and just write what lipstick it is on the back, or you can just write it on a piece of paper and stick it behind your palette.

As much as I would love to take credit for this awesome DIY, I must admit that I got the idea from makeupgeek on youtube. Here's a link to her video!

**It is okay to feature any of my photos or diy's as long as you provide a link back to my site, or proper credit it given. Thanks in advance!
